Edna Angel Campbell, 91, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Angel and Fannie Mashburn Angel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Campbell, who died June 8, 1994; three sisters and one brother.
Edna was the oldest member of Iotla United Methodist Church.
She is survived by five children, Fred Campbell, Joe Campbell, Shirley Shepherd and Clyda Mae Smith, all of Franklin, and Jean Thong of Columbia, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 2, at Iotla United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Revs. Randy Campbell and Donna Cobb officiating. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Memorial donations may be made to the Iotla United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Johnny Myers, 92 C.A. Meadows Rd., Franklin, N.C. 28734.
