Mr. B. I. Cline, 95, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 12, 2006, in Hubbard Hospice House.
Mr. Cline was a 48-year resident of Cross Lanes. He was a song writer, music teacher, voice teacher, piano technician, and had owned Cline Music Company on the West Side of Charleston for 25 years. He was an artist, having works published in the West Virginia Wildlife calendar and had painted several baptistries in local churches. He was a chief petty officer in the Navy during World War II and, while stationed in Panama, he taught a music school with the help of a Spanish interpreter. B. I. had 110 gospel songs published and had been choir director at numerous churches throughout the Kanawha Valley. He was a life member of the NRA.
B. I. is survived by his wife of 64 years, Imogene Cavender Cline, and two sisters, Velva Morrison of Michigan and Vinca Jones of Charleston.
A celebration of Mr. Cline's was held on November 15, 2006 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Conn officiating. Burial followed in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
