Larry Thomas Watson, 70, husband of Lydia Betito Watson, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at the Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born in Lowland, N.C., he was a son of the late Plum Nicholas and Lillie Ireland Watson.

Mr. Watson was a retired U.S. Air Force sergeant and Vietnam veteran. He also retired from Santee Print Works.

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; three sons, Bobby Watson, Doug Watson and Jeff Watson; two daughters, Joann Watson Branham (Harvey) of Manning and Barbara Watson Vise (Johnny) of Sumter; two brothers, Nicholas Watson and Danny Watson; six grandchildren, Jennifer Watson, Jonathan Vise, Rachel Vise, Christine Watson, Harvey "Junior" Branham and Brandon Branham; one nephew, Gary; and three nieces, Mable, Crystal, and Polly.

Graveside services were held Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.

The family received friends Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at 290 Trailwood Drive.
