Mr. McGinnis was born on January 6, 1932, in Mississippi County, Arkansas, to the late Harry and Audrey Crews McGinnis.
Mr. McGinnis attended Forest Home Church of The Nazarene, was one of the original Rockabilles, owned a recording studio, recorded with Meteor Records, was a crop duster, loved flying, genealogy, history, and music. He was a longtime resident of Mississippi County before moving to Jonesboro.
Survivors include: his wife of 59 years: Ramona Tatum McGinnis of the home; one son: Marty Wayne McGinnis of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two daughters: Monica Jean Lindley and husband Robert of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Lisa Michelle Soliz of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two brothers: Harold L. McGinnis of Osceola, Arkansas and Dale McGinnis of Hermitage, Arkansas; two sisters: Margie Wiley of Crowley, Texas and Dorothy McGinnis of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. McGinnis was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Harry Boyd McGinnis and one sister: Ramona June McGinnis.
Funeral services were held at the Forest Home Church of The Nazarene, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Interment was at the Nettleton Cemetery, Jonesboro, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
