USLEBER (DAILEY-COLLARD), ARLENE


Passed away at home on Saturday, April 13, 2013 under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Hospice. She was a resident of Spring Arbor, Michigan. She was born on October 24, 1931 and raised in Jackson, Michigan.


Arlene is survived by her husband, Adam Usleber Sr. and her seven children: Dennis Collard; Cecilia (Vernon) Meinhart; Juliana (Jeffrey) Bailey; Florine Herendeen; Ramona (Donald) Fritts; Ann (David) Zindler; Robert L. (Paty) Collard Jr. She was proud to be included in the Usleber family and was survived by Adam Usleber Jr. and Michael Usleber. She is also survived by 20 amazing grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, by her sister Shirley (Jerry) Fennell; and her brother Dale (Marge). She was blessed with a bounty of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Louis Collard, Senior, and her parents Leander Dailey and Wilma (Storm) Dailey. Arlene waged a noble battle against Alzheimer's Disease and was a two-time cancer survivor. She dedicated the majority of her life to raising her seven children. In her twenties she worked at the Jackson County Court House, then returned to the workforce in her forties, working for Region II Employment and Training. Every child and grandchild of Arlene has a quilt to cherish, created by Arlene's own talented hands. She was blessed to spend her golden years enjoying a loving romance with her devoted husband, Adam.
