Carl Loose Sr., 74, of 1501 Seventh Avenue, died early, Tuesday morning at his home. He was born June 14, 1893 in Kraft, Russia. He came to Canada in 1913 where he lived for seven years. In 1922 he came to Scotts Bluff County.
He married Elizabeth Wamboldt on Jan. 13, 1924 at Gering. She died Aug. 10, 1950.
He farmed in the Valley for 35 years until retirement in 1956. He married Sophie Katherine Bastron on Aug. 11, 1958 at Scottsbluff. She died May 21, 1961.
On May 4, 1965, he married Anna M. Eisenach in Scottsbluff and they have lived here since that time.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church and the Church Brotherhood.
Survivors in addition to his wife include four sons, Carl Jr. of Alliance; Melvin of Casper; Willard of Mitchell; and Victor of Scottsbluff; four daughters, Mrs. John (Juanita) Bauer Jr. of Mitchell; Mrs. George (Betty) Bauer of Bayard; Mrs. Harold (Elnora) Harimon of Scottsbluff; and Mrs. Larry N. (Judy) Hoff of Gering; five brothers, Henry, Pete, and Dave, all of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Roy of Sundre, Alberta; and Jake of Swift Current, Saskatschewan, Canada; one sister, Mrs. Henry Gritzfeld of Scottsbluff; 22 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, six stepsons and seven stepdaughters. One son preceded him in death.
Funeral services are pending at the Benson-Joliffe Funeral Home of Scottsbluff. A memorial has been established to the Emmanuel Congregational Church Building Fund.
