Rev. Daniel T. MacFarlan was the son of Thomas MacFarlan. He was the husband of Mary Jane (Merrit) MacFarlan. They were married Newburgh, New York November 20, 1850. Mary Jane died December 17, 1905. Rev. MacFarlan was a Local Preacher in the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Nearly a hundred years ago - reunion services of the Old Bowery Village Methodist Episcopal Church, now known. as the Seventh Street Church, yesterday held reunion services in commemoration of the ninety-ninth anniversary of its existence. Rev. D. T. MacFarlan assisted in the service.

MACFARLAN.--The Rev. D. T. Macfarlan, a well-known Local Elder in First Methodist Episcopal Church, Yonkers, New York, died at his home, 224 Woodworth Avenue, Yonkers, June 9. Born November 30, 1828, he was converted in what was known as the Dry Dock Mission, in New York city, under the ministry of Dr. Joseph Longking. He was an active member subsequently of Seventeenth Street, Seventh Street, and Ninth Street Methodist Episcopal Churches, in this city. For many years he had been connected with the church in Yonkers as chorister, steward, Sunday school superintendent, and trustee. He was a prime mover in the organization of the National Local Preachers' Association, and was held in very high esteem by these brethren. Messrs. Knox, Sherwood, Owen, Clayton, and other Local Preachers were present and spoke at his funeral, together with Dr. W. E. Ketchum and his pastor Dr. John J. Rev. Reed.
