Rev. Dr. Henry Horneman Bagger taught in the area of Practical Theology at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and served as the school's President from 1952 to 1962. He was married to Margaret Frick Bagger and was father of Reverend Ralph Bagger, who also served churches in the Pennsylvania area. He was the author of "An Historical Sketch of the First English Evangelical Lutheran Church of Butler, PA, 1843-1923".
