"Curley Griffin" born Malcom Howard Griffin 6 June 1918. Curley was partially sighted and attended school for the blind. In later life worked for WDXI in Jackson Tennessee where he met Carl Perkins and allowed him to use the station equipment to record demo tapes.
According to Perkins Curley came up with idea for "Dixie Fried" and "Boppin the the Blues" and is credited as co-writer on both singles.
Griffin self producted a number of singles for Atomic Records in mid late 1950's but experienced little commercial success.
