Barbara Cameron Kotler passed away at her home in the early morning hours of January 6th. Her son and daughter were at her side and it was a gentle transition. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 14, 1926. Barbara was a very talented and loving lady. She was a professional singer and songwriter and wrote the Roadrunner and updated Porky Pig theme songs, words and music in a few hours. They are still played all over the world. She performed with the Cincinnati Symphony and sang with Rosemary Clooney, Doris Day, the Andrew singers, Bob Hope and many others. Barbara also had her own radio show in Cincinnati and Her Mother was a fine artist and pianist. She lost her beloved husband Joseph Kotler on March 27th, 2011. They had shared 63 wonderful years together. Mrs. Kotler is survived by her son Doug Cameron, who is a well-known Jazz violinist living in Fort Myers and her daughter Cameron Sawzin, a busy Boston-based freelance cellist. She also leaves Doug's loving wife Juliette and her two grandsons Alex and Seanie.

The service will be held at Memorial Gardens 1589 Colonial Blvd in Fort Myers on Jan.14th. The 3:00 service will be followed by her placement next to her Husband. There will be a reception at her home for friends and family.
