Garl N. Bateman
Garl Newton Bateman, husband of Mrs. Sarah (Hash) Bateman died at the home of his son, Garl H. Bateman, 838 Maryland Avenue, Friday at 11:45 p.m., aged 74 years.
Born in Fox, Va, he was the son of the late William O. and Matilda (Anderson) Bateman. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Troutdale, VA.
Besides his wife and son, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Agnes Parks, Annawalt, W.Va; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be hel at the Norment Funeral Home MOnday at 2:30 pm with the Rev. G.Bartow Harris officiating. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
