Diedrick Herman Kramer was born on April 25, 1836 in Hanover, Germany. He was the son of Herman Kramer and Anna Wilms. He immigrated to the United States. He married Mary Harms on November 5, 1873 in Charlevoix, Michigan. Diedrick died on January 17. His headstone says he died in 1892, but cemetery records and newspaper clippings say he died in 1894. His cause of death was accident electrocution while installing the lights in Macon, Missouri.
