Mrs. H. Pate, 76, Called In Death; Funeral Sunday

Mrs. Hannah Pate, 76, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Old Ladies' home, 1119 Mulerry
avenue, where she had been in failing health since Nov. 28, 1934. She had been in failing health for some time.

Mrs. Pate was born Aug. 28, 1861 in Cinncinati, O., and was married twice, first to William Barrows and later to Hiram Pate, both her husbands and a step-daughter Mrs. George Campbell, preceding her in death. She was a member of the First Friends church of this city.

One son, Jesse Barrows, of Davenport, two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, survive.

The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals, where rites will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George Evans, pastor of the First Friends church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.


* Hanna was the daughter of Wm. H. and Margaret Hall Simpson.
She married Wm. A. Barrows on October 25, 1885 in Muscatine, Iowa. He was the son of Samuel and Mary Fox Barrows. Hanna married Hiram Pate February 14, 1892 in Muscatine.
