Rev. Bishop William Wagner Orwig was the son of Abraham and Elizabeth (Wagner) Orwig. He was the husband of Susan H. (Rishel) Orwig. They were. married in 1832. Susan died February 11, 1900. He wrote the 1st history of the Evangelical Association Church in 1854 and in 1859 was elected the 4th Bishop of the Evangelical Association Church.
