Professional baseball player. Primarily third baseman, played for the Detroit Wolverines from 1886-1887. Won the championship over the St. Louis Browns in '87. After the season, he was purchased by the Balimore Orioles in the American Association. He played there two years there then went to the Players League to play with the Philadelphia Athletics. He joined the Phillies the next year. In 1892-1893 played for the Baltimore Orioles afterwich he was traded along with another player for two future Hall of Famers Dan Brouthes and Willie Keeler to the Brooklyn Groomes. He played there from 1894-1898 and finished with a .269 average, 1,561 and 31 home runs.
