Ezro was a welder by trade. He lived in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia (1910), Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee (1917), Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama (1920), Mecklenburg County, North Carolina (1926), and Birmingham (1930). He was living in Atlanta when he died in 1970.

Ezro and Ruby Davis married about 1912 and had 8 children. For the 1940 census after Ezro's wife Ruby had died in 1938, two of their younger children (Ruby F. Bell and Martha Lee Bell) were living in Atlanta, and three of their younger children (Dorothy Marie Bell, E. C. Bell, and Betty Jean Bell) were living with Ruby's parents in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
