Mrs. SARAH M. BATEMAN, 95, who resided at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Bateman, 419 Summit Ave., died Monday at the Williamsport Nursing Home. Born in Fox, Va., she was the daughter of Dennis and Celiz Grubb Hash. She was the wife of the late Garl N. Bateman.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Fox.
She is survived by one grandson, Garl H. Bateman, Jr., Hagerstown; four sisters, Mr.s Pearl Johnson, Athens, WV; Mrs. Melinda Bateman, Gainesboro, Va.; Mrs. Virgie Anderson, Independence, Va.; and Mrs. Mattie Adams, Grant, Va.; one great-granddaughter.
Services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
