Carl George Unglenk was born June 24, 1934 in Amana, Iowa, the son of Louis and Lina Roth Unglenk. He graduated from the Amana High School with the Class of 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 - 1958, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Carl was employed with the Amana Meat Market as a butcher, and with Schanz Furniture for many years. Carl married Joyce Gleason Graesser on November 13, 1967 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marengo. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marengo. Carl was a former member of the Isaac Walton League, and the Amana Men’s Choir. He enjoyed music and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce in 1998, and two sisters, Rosalie Roth, and Marcella Bell and her husband Jim.
