He was born May 1, 1946 in Orrville, Ohio to Richard Hatcher and Wanda (McIntire) Hatcher. He graduated from the first class of Buckeye Valley High School in 1964 where he also played football and later graduated from Barber School in Columbus.
Terry retired from the former GTE Telephone Company and later cut hair at Edie's Barber Shop in Marysville. He was a faithful member of the Bellpoint United Methodist Church and member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge F & AM #18 of Delaware where he was past master, High Priest and excellent master. He also was past commander of the Marion Commandry. He also received the Knight of York Cross honor. Terry was also a 4H advisor for 35 years, broker for McMullen Real Estate in Delaware and on the chain crew for the Buckeye Valley football team for over 20 years. His greatest joy was his time spent with his grandkids.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Bonnie (Webb); sons, Troy (Mary) of Middletown, Indiana and Brian (Kim) of Delaware; grandchildren Dalton, Bailey, Cameron, Logan and Mason; brother, Roger Hatcher of Illinois; sister, Ardella (Bill) Siders of Illinois; his mother, Wanda Hatcher of Marysville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The family will receive friends on Friday August 1st from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware where masonic services will be held at 7:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Engle officiating. Burial will follow in Oller Cemetery.
