Iris M. Peters and John C. O'Brien were married at Calgary, Alberta in 1925.
The 1921 Calgary census shows Iris Peters, b. abt. 1904 in England, living with her widowed mother, Emily Peters, b. abt 1874 in England. Also with them is Iris' sister, Daisy Peters, b. abt 1902 in England, and a lodger, Mabel Taylor, b. abt 1899 in England. They all came to Canada in 1920.

Myrtle Iris O'Brien, wife of J. C. O'Brien, of Hussar, Alberta, passed away in Calgary on Sunday night, following a lingering illness. She had lived in the Hussar district for the past eight years and was well known there. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. E. Peters, of Vancouver; also two sisters in Vancouver, and a brother in England.
