Mary F. Schott, age 80, of Brookville, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at Brookville Healthcare Center.
Born October 5, 1933 in St. Leon Indiana, to Peter and Ella Woerst Andres. Mary was a graduate of Guilford High School. She married Maurice "Maury" Schott on September 3, 1955 at St. Joseph Church in St. Leon and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2005. Mary was a secretary/bookkeeper at Valley Motors for 12 years and owned with her husband, Schott's Greenhills Lanes. She also was well known for selling Avon. Mary was a past member of the Brookville Area Lions Club, a member of the Daughters of Isabella and St. Michael Church. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family and friends.
Those surviving who will honor Mary's memory include her daughter and son-in-law, ...; grandchildren ..., as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Andres, Paul Andres, Wilbur Andres, Edmond William Andres, Leo Andres, Edger Andres, Victor Andres, Vincent Andres, Joseph Andres, and sisters, Ruth Walker and Florence "Tommy” McGlothlin.
Visitation for friends and family is Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Rosary will be said at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial, officiated by Rev. Sean Danda, at St. Michaels Catholic Church, is at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
