Eileen, 86, Lima, died at her daughter's home.

She was the daughter of Harry E. and Catherine M. (Craft) Weidel Sr. On Sep 3, 1948, she married Roger B. Sanford, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Rod (Jan), Lima; two daughters: Cheryl (John) Banner, Dublin, and Beth (J.R.) Galvin, Lewis Center; and four grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, Harry; and two sisters: Waneta Evans and Lucille Ramer.

She was a graduate of South High, and she and her husband would continue to meet weekly with their high school friends for the following 60 years in what became known as the "Pinochle Club". She was an active member of Central Christian Church (DOC). She had been a member of Lost Creek CCL. She volunteered at Bath Local Schools, at her church and at Churches United Pantry C.U.P and Meals on Wheels. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Friends and family relied on her for her tailoring skills.

A Memorial Service will be at Central Christian Church, Lima, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas R. Jewell officiating.
