MRS. KATHRYN OTTING

Funeral services were held on Monday morning for Mrs. Kathryn Otting from the home of Joseph P. Otting, Bernard, to St. Patrick's Church, North Garryowen. Rev. Patrick Malone officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Otting died Friday afternoon at the home of her son, Raymond, after an illness of two months.

Pallbearers were: Lawrence Otting, Art Ressler, Frank Otting, Jacob Ressler, Herbert Otting, Ralph Otting, Joe Otting and Lawrence Otting.

Born in Bernard Sept. 26, 1879, she was the daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ressler and was married to Joseph Otting, January 11, 1898, in St. Paul's Church, Worthington. A lifelong resident of this county, she was a member of St. Patrick's Church, North Garryowen, and the Rosary Society of that parish.

Survivors are ten children, Henry Otting, Farley; Mrs. Joseph (Agnes) McCarthy, Bernard; Leo Otting, Cascade; Mrs. Thomas (Loretta) Cashman, Monticello; Raymond and John Otting, Bernard, Mrs. Cyril (Rosabella) Schmitt, Bernard; Joseph P. Otting, Bernard; Mrs. Andrew (Helen) Laban, Bernard, and Mrs. Lloyd (Elda) Takes, Bernard; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Achen, Burmily, British Columbia; Mrs. Anna Aschtgen, Dyersville; and Mrs. Mae Ackerman, Farmington, Minn., two brothers, Henry Ressler, Scio, Oregon, and Christopher Ressler, Cascade; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 30, 1931, her parents; three daughters; two sisters; and one brother.
