KOOPMAN – John H. Koopman, 276 20th Avenue, Columbus, formerly of Howells, died Friday in Columbus Community Hospital. He was 79.
Rev. Maurice Goldhammer will conduct the funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells with burial in the church cemetery.
Visiting hours are now in progress at Humlicek Funeral Home, Howells, and Tuesday from 9:30 until time of service at the church.
He was born January 20, 1899 in Germany. In 1933 at Howells, he married Antonette Shanle who survives him. He owned and operated a gas station northwest of Howells for many years.
He is also survived by a son, John R. of Columbus; a brother, Adolph, Grand Forks, N.D.; two sisters Frieda Herrback of Germany, Louise Koopman, Utan, Neb.
Preceded [sic] him in death were his parents; two brothers.
