One of Wood County's early settlers, Mrs. Caroline Neuber, 67, passed away at the home of her son, Charles Dempze, at the Gaynor Cranberry company marsh at Cranmoor, on Thursday, November 19 at 4:45 p.m.
Mrs. Neuber was born in Germany on November 25th, 1864. She came to Wood county and lived on a farm near Pittsville, for about 45 years. Death was due to two years of lingering illness. She had been at the home of her son 11 days.
She leaves to mourn her, one brother William Schalla, Pittsville, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Klonsinske, Nekoosa, and Mrs. Louis Mundt, Pittsville, and two sons, Charles Dempze, Cranmoor, and Henry Neuber, Winnebago.
Interment will be in the Pittsville cemetery. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
