Henrietta Braffett was born in 1848 in Sullivan County, New York, the eldest child of Elisha Braffett and Sarah Castle. She married Emil Brehm in 1869 and had a daughter Agnes Brehm who died in 1906. Twice widowed, Henrietta Armstrong died in Brooklyn in 1906.

Henrietta lived in Sullivan County for the 1850, 1860, and 1870 census, and she was living in Manhattan for the 1880 census.
