Clara McCollum was born in 1911 probably in Milton County, Georgia. She was a seamstress and operator at a cotton mill in Austell, Georgia. She married Jessie Donald Buckner (1910-2010). She was living with her brother Joseph A. McCollum in Lemons, Cobb County, Georgia for the 1940 census. She died of an internal hemorrhage in 1946.
