CLARION - Dr. Charles Nair died at 12:30 p.m. yesterday at the home of his niece, Miss Bertha Nair of 129 - 8th Ave., Clarion. Born in Beaver Falls May 22, 1873, he was a son of William R. and Eleanor Wilkins Nair.
He was married to Ann Wood who preceded him in death 20 years ago. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Louis Fitz-Randolph of E. Palestine, O. and a niece, Miss Bertha Nair of Clarion.
He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental College in 1898. He practiced his profession in Lar Alto, Mo. and later in Trenton Mo. He retired 25 years ago while practicing in Trenton, Mo. After retiring, Dr. Nair went to Long Beach, Calif. where he owned and operated an orange grove until 1954 when he came to Clarion to live with his niece. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Long Beach, Calif.
The body has been removed to the J. Ward Kier Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. today and tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Roy C. Blair, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Clarion, officiating. Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery.
