Thomas Huston (also known as Thomas Houghston and Richard Hewson) was born about 1795 in Ireland. He married Mary Curry in 1813 at St. John's Anglican, Kings County, Nova Scotia, and they had 7 children (Mary, Francis, William Allen, Lydia, Catherine, James, Sophia). He died in 1868 in Cornwallis, Kings County at age 73 due to a fall.
