William Morrison was born in Garrett
County, Kentucky, July 20, 1823 and
passed away at his home in Frankfort,
Kansas on October 16, 1913 at the age
of 90 years 2 months and 26 days.

When he was seven years old he moved
with his parents to Indiana, where he
lived until his marriage. From Indiana
the family moved to Iowa, later to
Missouri and after residing there for six
years, they came to Kansas in the spring
of 1857, locating on a homestead four
miles east of Frankfort, where they lived
until the spring of 1888. Then the family
moved into Frankfort, where his wife
passed away about eleven years ago, and
he continued to reside until his death.

Besides his son, James and daughter, Mrs.
Marie Berlew, who had been with him for
the past two yeasr, he is survived by two
sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Witham, Vliet,
Kansas and Mrs. Mary Jane Prime of
Kokomo, Indiana, one brother Robert
Morrison of southern Missouri and seven
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the home
at 1:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon with
Reverend P.K. Shoemaker officiating.

Interment was in the Morrison Cemetery,
Vliets, Kansas.
