Mrs. Menton was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she was active in Ladies Sodality.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. "Bill" Menton; her parents, Alfonso and Rosario Bermudez Santana; her brother, Alfonso Santana; and four children, Francis A. "Frank" Menton, Carmen E. Menton, John Samuel Menton, and Thomas P. Menton.
Survivors include six children, Grace M. (Bob) Overmeyer, William J. (Patricia) Menton, Edward C. (Brenda) Menton, Mary Jane Menton, Regina F. Menton, and Charles M. "Chip" Menton; six grandchildren, Robert M. (Kimberly) Overmeyer, Jr., John P. Overmeyer, Ashley O. (Brad) Williamson, Jacob M. Menton, Amanda K. Menton, and William Connor Menton; four great-grandchildren, Emily C. Williamson, Andrew M. Dyas, Hannah L. Dyas, and William E. Dyas; and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 9 A.M. until the 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at the Sacred Heart Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor. Interment will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Coden, AL. Arrangements by Ascension Funerals & Cremation, 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695.
