Mr. Laber retired from Dunn Paper Co. in 1965. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and a member of Brother in Christ Mission Hall.
He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Arkills, Port Huron, Mrs. Walter (Rose) Gulley, Newark, Del., Mrs. William ( Mary) Janke, Novi, and Mrs. Rodney (Katherine) Grahn, Plymouth; three sons, David A. Laber, Mount Clements, Henry and Frederick Laber, both of Port Huron; two brothers, Alex Laber, Longmont, Colo., and John Laber, Siberia, Russia; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in St. John's United Church of Christ. Rev. Lowell E. Zechiel, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Daniel Vale, David and Rick Laber, John Poelstra, Gary and Kevin Grahn will be pallbearers.
