SAEGER _ John Henry

John Henry Saeger, beloved husband of Lorraine of Calgary, passed away at the Bethany Care Centre, on Thursday, July 17, 2003 at the age of 71 years. John was predeceased by his mother Francesca, father Bernard, brother Paul, and brother-in-law Eddie. John was born in St. Paul, AB, and graduated from the University of Alberta in 1954 with a Bachelor of Education Degree. He taught in various communities in Alberta before residing with his family in Calgary in 1971. John coached hockey, volleyball and basketball during his teaching career and enjoyed singing in the church choir. John is remembered by his family as a hard working, dedicated family man, who was very active physically, loved the outdoors and had a good sense of humor. He especially enjoyed spending time with the family at lakes, in the mountains and teaching his children about the outdoors. He loved gardening, long walks, hockey games and baseball.
