Napoleon Bonaparte Vandall has given us several gospel songs, two of the more well-known ones are My Home Sweet Home, and After. For obvious reasons he usually went by N. B. Vandall.
Jack, as he was called, served in the Marines in the First World War. Then, after trusting Christ as his Saviour at a Sebring Camp (Sebring, Ohio) in 1920, he went on to become an evangelist, a radio pastor, and a gospel song writer.
He and his wife Margaret (who was instrumental in leading him to Christ) made their home in Akron, Ohio. They had four sons Bob, Dick, Paul, and Ted.

His grandson, Robert D. Vandall, was a well-known composer of piano music. Click here for a link to the Find-A-Grave site for Robert.
