William J. Braffett was born in 1858, probably in Sullivan County, New York, although some records indicate he was born in Pennsylvania.
He married Jennie W. Williams, and they probably had 3 children.
Children:
1- Edwin William Braffett (1885-1917).
2- Margaret Braffett (1886- ).
3- Richard James (1887-1887).
William was a private detective in New York. By 1910, he was married for the 3rd time. He died in 1913 in Queens, New York.
