Sarah McIntyre (name sometimes Sarah McTeer) migrated (about 1830) from County Antrim, Ireland to Nova Scotia with her parents when she was 21. She married James Giles 12 Nov 1833 in Westchester, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.

2- John Giles (1835- ).
The land grants to Thomas Giles (250, 175, 100, 100, 100 acres) and James Giles (100 acres) can be seen in Crown Land Records Sheet 70 in the triangle between Lower Greenville, Wentworth Station, and Westchester Station.
Son John Giles died sometime after the 1871 census enumeration.
DIED. GILES - At Greenville, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, at the residence of her son, Edward Giles, on the 13 th inst., Mrs. Sarah Giles, widow of the late James Giles, aged 84 years. The deceased was a daughter of the late Hugh McIntyre. She emigrated with her parents from the County Antrim, in the North of Ireland to this country when 21 years of age. Her remains were interred in the Catholic cemetary at Pugwash on Sunday the 15 th inst. And followed to their last resting place by a large number of relatives and friends. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Father Egan from Springhill.
