Otho “Okie” Eugene Jones, 87, passed away at his home in Readyville, Monday, November 20, 2017. He was a native of Ft. Worth, Tx.

He is survived by his wife, Madeleine Daron Jones of Readyville, Tn.; Special Niece and her family, Sarah Daron-Mathis and husband, John Mathis of Readyville, Christopher, Jonathon & Madeleine Josephine Daron-Mathis all of Readyville; Siblings, Bettie Couch of Murfreesboro, Iris Martin of Texas and Grace Geisen of WA.; Many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Rufus Jones & Ina Rue Francis Jones.

Okie was a Country Music Entertainer and sang with Little Jimmy Dickens. He entered the Army and served in the Korean War. After the military, he drove the bus for Marty Robbins for 10 years and Hank Williams, Jr. for 5 years. After retirement, he enjoyed working on his farm.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Friday, November 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday, November 24, 2017 from 11 am until time of service.
