Anton was the son of Bernard Brumleve and Helena Feldker. In his youth he left Germany and immigrated to the United States, settling in Louisville, Kentucky. On 31 Jan 1846 he married Helena Berendsen and they had one son, Anthony. Helena died and on 09 Jan 1848 he married Mary Catherine Kuepers. They had five children: Bernard, Anna, Frances, Leo and Sophia. He was a blacksmith. Anton died of old age at his home, 726 Clay Street, at the age of 81.
