He married Martha Ann McNabb in 1848 in Hamilton County, Ohio. Martha's last name on the marriage certificate is Hamilton indicating she probably had been married previously. By 1850, the family was living across the river in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky.
Children (with Martha Ann McNabb Hamilton):
1- William Bridwell (1850- ) [not the same person as William A. Bridewell].
2- Virginia G. Bridwell Gale (1852-1932).
3- Mary Ellen Bridwell Boyce (1853-1935).
4- Alice E. Bridwell Anderson (1858-1913).
5- Laura B. Bridwell Braffett (1859-1944).
Martha probably died in 1863.
Martin Bridwell married Mary Elizabeth Steers in 1864 in Kenton County.
Children (with Mary Elizabeth Steers):
1- Nellie Mae Bridwell Frame (1865-1936).
2- Blanche Sallie Bridwell King (1867- ).
3- Arthur W. Bridwell (1873-1878).
The family was living in Covington for the 1870 census enumeration.
Martin Bridwell was buried in 1875 in Linden Grove Cemetery.
After Martin died, Mary Bridwell married Charles W. Hawley in 1876 in Covington.
