Returned to the National League for good in 1893 with the Washington Senators, with whom he led the League in ERA in 1895 (2.45). Had one outstanding year after that, wining 20 games with the Baltimore Orioles in 1898. Pitched for 3 different teams the last 3 years of his career, and won only a combined 4 games with the Brooklyn Superbas(Dodgers), Phillies and New York Giants. Finished with a 84-80 career record.
