Austin A. Stoner, 61, of Pleasant Hill, died of respiratory failure Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, at Union Hospital of Cecil County.
Stoner was born in Elkton on Feb. 6, 1934. He worked as a maintenance engineer with W. L. Gore & Associates for the last 25 and-a-half years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed baseball and football.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jeanne Stoner; his mother, Mariam C. Malin of Elkton; three daughters, Doreen Smith of North East, Kim Bishop of Rising Sun, and Missy Stoner of Pleasant Hill; a son, Michael K. Stoner of Payson, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Hicks Home for Funerals in Elkton at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The viewing will also be held at the Hicks Home for Funerals from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Dr. Tom Berry, pastor of Baptist Bible Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Union, north of Elkton.
