Casper was born in Pfiefer Russia and as "Kaspar" and was of a group of Volga Germans who resettled in the united states and established a town by the same name - Pfiefer Kansas. The colony moved in groups with his arriving in 1906 on the ship Studgart - which included his wife,Catherine, and kids up to that time.


His father was Michael Kisner and his mother was Elizabeth Holsmeister.

Father of Casper K, Maria, Matt, Margaret, Katherine, Anna, Peter, Joseph, and George Kisner.

Casper Kisner.

Casper KISNER, 69, died Tuesday at his home, 530 East Gordon. HE was born in Pfeisser, Russia, February 15, 1870, and had been a resident of Topeka since 1905.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine KISNER of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Anna BELLENGIER, Oewein, Iowa; Mrs. Mary PORUBUSY, Mrs. Catherine SOMMERS and Mrs. Marie MILLER, all of Topeka; five sons, Joseph, George and Casper Jr., all of Topeka; Mathew KISNER, Oelwein, Iowa, and Peter KISNER, St. Paul Minn., and forty grandchildren.
