Les Beasley, 90, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on November 18, 2018.He was born to parents the late Lester and Edna Beasley, on August 16, 1928 in Crockett, Texas.
Les worked as a singer/manager for 54 years. After 54 of service, He retired from The Florida Boys in 2007. He enjoyed music. In 1997, Les was honored with a Gospel Music Hall of Fame Plaque for his devotion to gospel music. Other honors include: his induction to the Christian Music Hall of Fame.
Les was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Frances Beasley; 6 children; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 27, at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. All arrangements are being handled by Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

He, Bill Gaither and Herman Harper, as a committee, suggested to the GMA board that an awards program be a part of the annual meeting. The Dove Awards is the result of that suggestion. Beasley named the award.
