Thomas was a farmer. He married Elizabeth Laubner in 1883 in Meigs County, Ohio, and they had 3 children. The family moved to Oregon sometime between 1889 and 1892 when the youngest child Denver C. Radford died. Elizabeth died the next year. Thomas then married Mollie Stone (Mary Stone) in 1895 in Linn County, Oregon. Mollie died in 1915. Thomas died in 1939 in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon.
