Played With Louisville and Washington of the National League and the Philadelphia Athletics and Highlanders of the American League. Was Eddie Plank's personal catcher while he was with the A's. He died from internal injuries sustained while chasing a foul ball in Shibe Park's inaugural game, April 12, 1909.
