Douglas Vincent Perrine was born at St. Clare’s hospital in Denville, NJ on October 8, 1969.

His birth was five weeks premature, which he rapidly overcame. Both as a child and an adult, he was a sensitive, caring and wonderful person. It became apparent in his early teens that he was afflicted with bipolar affective disorder that he managed with treatment and his own will. In spite of this handicap, he strived to be his best at many things, and he was a joy to his family, friends and anyone who needed a kind word or deed.

In leaving this world on Sunday May 19, 2019, he carries with him the love and respect of all who know him. We hope and believe that he has chosen this way to find peace. He will always be loved and deeply missed.

Douglas always had a special place in his heart for children with illnesses or disabilities.

Thank you for so many kind and comforting thoughts, prayers and help. They have made this difficult time much better than it otherwise would have been.

The arrangements for Douglas’ service are as follows:
Saturday, June 1 at 3:00 PM there will be a service at Click Funeral Home in Farragut, TN. Following the service there will be a brief ceremony to put Douglas’ urn with ashes in a columbarium at Pleasant Forest Cemetery in Farragut, TN, which is on the way to our home. Following the Pleasant Forest ceremony, we will have a reception at our home that will include food and drink.
