Obituary for Linda Ostwalt

Linda Byrd Ostwalt, 78, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Accordius Health of Mooresville.

She was born on October 15, 1940 in Statesville, NC, to the late Curtis Byrd and Virginia Blackwell. Mrs. Ostwalt was a retired custodian for the school systems. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who loved and knew her. She was adored by her husband who called her his “trophy wife”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Byrd.

Mrs. Ostwalt is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Ostwalt; children, Terry Atwell, Connie White (Kent), Angie Heglar (Heath), Tina Smith; sisters, Doris Brown (Jimmy), Sheila Dishman; brothers, Mack Dishman (Dana), Phil Dishman (Toni); grandchildren, Heidi Patterson (Matt), Cody Craver, Lacy Sheets (Matt), Josie Heglar, Debra Smith, Dustin Smith (Chelsea), Kassey Smith; and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service following at 11:00 AM at Knox Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Sybil Perrell officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
