No burial information is given on Emma's 1929 Russell County, Virginia death certificate. However, when Emma's oldest son Oscar Carmine Dowdle was killed in a Splashdam, Virginia mine explosion 3 years later in 1932, he was buried in Clark Cemetery in Russell County, so Emma's burial might have been in the same cemetery (and unmarked) and possibly near where Oscar's burial marker is now located.
