According to a Gene Tree family history, Isaac Radford was born in 1824 in County Wicklow, Ireland, came to Baltimore in 1830, and married Bedelia Bolen. Her name is listed as Bedilia Lavell in their 1856 marriage record.

Isaac probably died in 1879 prior to his will probate in Meigs County, Ohio. He was probably buried in Rock Springs Cemetery in Meigs County.

Bedelia and son Isaac were living in East Saint Louis, Illinois for the 1880 census along with Bedelia's nephew Peater Lovell. Bedelia was living at 206 Chestnut in the 1881 and 1883 city directories for St. Louis, Missouri. She died in 1887 in St. Louis. Her first grandchild born the following year was named Esther Bedelia Radford.
