Professional Baseball Player. Paul worked in the minor league for 10 years before he got the call up from the Atlanta Braves in 1969 where he helps them win the 1969 National League West Division. Doyle was a relief pitcher. While in high school he lettered in football, basket ball and base ball. He signed his first contract with the Detroit Tigers to play in the minors. In 1960 he signed with the Yankees while on vacation in Florida. On November 28, 1960 the San Francisco Giants drafted Doyle from the Yankees. He made his major league debut on May 28, 1969, for the Atlanta Braves and played in 39 games. The Braves sold his contract to the Angles in November of 1969 where he worked in 49 games in 2 seasons. Then he once again was sold to San Diego where he worked the final part of the season. He played his final MLB game on May 2, 1972, for the California Angels. His career record was 87 games, 85 hits, 46 bases on balls in 90 1/3 innings with 65 strike outs and 11 saves. He is survived by his wife and three children.
